UNIONS, WE REALLY DO NOT NEED THEM ANY MORE

I know that if this blog goes viral, I will probably be receiving lots of nasty mail. I really expect it.

My take on unions is they are outdated and hurting people more than they are helping. Last year it was Pro football players, this year "right to work" states and collective bargining. Nurses, teachers the list goes on and on.

80% of the time the people going out on strike want job security or bigger pay checks. Most people in non-union jobs are takeing cuts in pay or forced to work less hours and they are happy just to have a job.

My career was in the auto parts business. No union, no job security, if you wanted more money you went to work for the competition. If you wanted a better vacation package or better retirement package, you went to work for the competition. Job security was not even in my career dictionary.

My father, who was a state employee, was a union guy. He was a highway designer for PennDOT. Back in the 50's,60's and possibly  the 70's, my father had to be registered with what ever party was the majority in the state at the time. He was a Republican, but if the Dems were in power, he would register and vote as a Dem.

I think it goes without saying that unions are past their prime, take notice to the Asian car market.
I love my American car, I could if I wanted to buy a Toyota or a Honda and be purchasing a car that was built without union labor.

HAPPY 225th BIRTHDAY TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.

I apologize for posting this blog so late in the day. I actually wanted to ask any parent or big brother or sister, to introduce the Constitution of the United States to any one of school age.

I don't think, correct me if I'm wrong, that this is something that is taught in school anymore. And that is very sad.

http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/constitution.html      <

Here is a very excellent link to all aspects of the Constitution. ^ (above)

This would also make a great family fun night activity, Get everyone involved.

Call Grandparents, family & friends and tell them that today was the 225th birthday of the Constitution and you and your family getting together to learn more about it.

I hope you take this chance to explore some of the best pieces of history.

I invite my International audience to participate in this history adventure .

P.S. Nobody is going to have a chance to do this today, It would make a good Saturday night get together project. Leave me some feed back !

GODSPEED NEIL ARMSTRONG

A memorial service was held for Neil Armstrong, who died 8.25.12.

Neil was more than an astronaut, he was the first person to walk on the moon. As a 10 year old boy, he gave me and millions of other boys and girls the inspiration that we could do or be whatever we wanted to be in life.

I wrote a blog when Neil passed away, he was a man who shyed away from the spot light. I just wanted to say good bye to Neil one last time.

Godspeed Neil Armstrong.

ARE WE REALLY BROKE ? ? ?

Let's say you have five friends, it's Monday, and they all  need money. You fit in well with your friends . All six of you blew your paychecks you just received on Friday !

Enter the United States. I'm going to make this easy, the only country in the Middle East we do not provide financial help to is Iran, and that's becsuse they're uber-bad.(bad, bad, bad.)

Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, I probably missed a few. these countries are all on our welfare list. Can't we just tell China to give them the money and we'll call it even. Uh-oh that's right, we owe them money.

I hope if Mitt Romney is elected, (please Dear God!,) Pres.Romney, will put tghe lid on the cookie jar.

P.S. I didn't write a blog yesterday. I spent the better part of the day trying to come up with some good writing, I just couldn't do it. To make up for yesterday, here are my thoughts.

My thoughts and prayers are with the friends and families of the nearly 3,000 people who perished on 9.11.01. Godspeed to the souls that were lost 11 years ago.

WITH THE CONVENTIONS ALL WRAPPED UP, LOOKING FOWARD TO DEBATES IN OCTOBER.

After watching both debates, I hate to say it but Bill Clinton is a shoe in on Election Day. What do you mean Bill is not running ! He gave a good acceptance speech.

So it's still B.H.O. and Mitt Romney will be dukeing it out.this race for the Presidency. It will come down to how many udeceided and Independent votors watch the debates.

If there was ever a time in your life that you should vote, this is it. If you don't normally vote PLEASE, PLEASE go out and vote. I know politics can be the center of a lot of arguements, I found that out with one of my three sisters.

You might not want to hear or read this, This beautiful country of ours is at a crossroads. The America that we love might be totally restructured by 2016.

We can not allow four more years of B.H.O. I'm afraid at that point his destruction of our economy and jobs base will make our present problems seem small.

THIS HAS BEEN ONE TOUGH WEEK FOR THE DNC

I expected to see the powers that be running around with fire hats and fire hoses after this story broke. Somebody is going to end up behind the woodshed for this one.

Actually, there we two stories being stirred. First, the Stadium which held 70,000 people was shelved, the DNC was worried about storms moving in. According to the NWS, 10% chance of showers. So why ddid the change the Thursday venue site ?

Now they will try to funnel 70,000 people into a 20,000 capacity Convention Center.Something tells me there were never 70,000 people interested in attending. It gets better.

Two seriously important words we left out of the Democratic Platform. "God" and "Jerusalem."
WOW! did that get things stirred, as the evening drew to a close, "God" and "Jerusalem" made it's way back into the Platform. Not without anger from som Arabs and athiest.

Former Flordia Congressman 19th district Bob Wexler (D) played his hand in this (figures). I guess he did not realize how many athiest democrrats and Muslim Democrats were in attendence at the convention.

I WONDER HOW GOD FEELS, TAKEN OUT OF DNC PLATFORM ?

When It comes to God, I'm a very private person. I feel that God and I have a rock solid relationship. I don't like when people get all Holy with me, People of the cloth are excluded. I am more than willing to talk about God to a Clergy.

You probably wonder where I'm going with this article. Good guess, you hit it on the first guess ! As the DNC was getting ready for their week in the spotlight, they forgot a couple of items that would have been proper if nothing else in their platform.

They left out the words GOD and Jerusalem out of their Platform. T hey wouldn't recognize that Jerusalem is the Capitol of Israel and leaving God completely out sent a major statement. The Democratic Platform must not have believed in God.

Needless to say that they walked this huge blunder back and fixed it after a ton of scrutiny. Try and imagine how many people sat down to put that Party Platform together.

DNC CONVENTION STARTS 9.4.12

It goes without saying, I'm not quite as fair and balanced as let's say, FOX NEWS.

I do give the Republicans Hell when they have it coming to them, maybe not as often as I should. For the record, out of  the 32 years I've been voting, I have voted Republican all but one time. That one time I voted Democrat, I had good reason.

The Republican Governor was spending money in this state like there was no tomorrow. So I figured, If the GOP Governor was going to spend like a Democrat, I might as well vote for a Democrat.

I have to remember to check and see if  I have enough duct tape for the upcoming Convention. When Juan Williams and Debbie Wassermann-Schultz start their whining, I'll need to wrap my head in duct tape so it doesn't EXPLODE !

GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY !

I have a feeling that I'm in the minority when I say I liked Clint Eastwood's contribution to the Convention last night.

He didn't stand up at the podium and bloviate to his heart's content. He put on a skit wit an empty chair, pretending Pres.B.H.O. was sitting there, and he was having a dialoge with him.

The people that thought it was over the edge, quite simply did not get the inside jokes that he was performing. If you read between the lines there were jokes there that were not suitable for the younger audience.

I don't know if I have this word for word, but when B.H.O. was talking to him, Clint would reply "I can't tell him that, he can't do that to himself." It's that much funnier that the audience did't get the joke. All they had to do was read between the lines.
