GO AHEAD, MAKE MY DAY !

I have a feeling that I'm in the minority when I say I liked Clint Eastwood's contribution to the Convention last night.

He didn't stand up at the podium and bloviate to his heart's content. He put on a skit wit an empty chair, pretending Pres.B.H.O. was sitting there, and he was having a dialoge with him.

The people that thought it was over the edge, quite simply did not get the inside jokes that he was performing. If you read between the lines there were jokes there that were not suitable for the younger audience.

I don't know if I have this word for word, but when B.H.O. was talking to him, Clint would reply "I can't tell him that, he can't do that to himself." It's that much funnier that the audience did't get the joke. All they had to do was read between the lines.

THE CLOSING NIGHT FOR THE GOP CONVENTION CARRIES HIGH EXPECTIONS

I'm battling a touch of the flu, so please bear with me.

I did manage to watch the Convention last night, I wasn't sure I was going to make it, I. had a nasty fever. Never did make it to get on here and blog. Enough about me.

The headline last night was Paul Ryan's speech, and the speeches leading up to his.Condoleezza  Rice, Gov. Mike Huckabee, the list goes on.

Everybody who spoke last night hit home runs out of the ball park. After not blogging last night I want to give credit to Gov.Chris Christie for delivering the Keynote address. Personally I thought he did a great job. Rumor has it that Romney's crew muzzled Gov Christie. If that's true I still think He did a great job.

Tonight will be the big night,Gov. Mitt Romney get to talk to America, I hope and pray that people who say they don't know much about Mitt will tune in and listen to his speech. You will be making very good use of your time.

ISAAC MOVES AWAY FROM TAMPA, TIME TO GET DOWN TO BUSINESS

With Hurricane Isaac racing towards New Orleans, and we send our prayers to our fellow Americans on the gulf coast, the GOP's set to spend three days selling their platform and ideas to the American people.

I'm going to watch as much of this Convention as I possibly can. I will do the same thing when the Democrats come to Charlotte.

And we can't forget about the Debates. By observing these three parts of the political pie, It will give me the political knowledge I need to make a sound decision on 11.6.12.

Even though I all ready have made my the decision for  presidential canidate.

ROMNEY, RYAN & ISAAC !

Who would have thought that a Tropical Storm named Isaac possibly soon to be a Hurricane Isaac would try to steal the thunder from the GOP Convention.

It's bad, although it could have been worse, at least for the people in Tampa. Early on meteorologist speculated that the storm could take a diret hit on Tampa, now New Orleans is set in the crosshairs.

The Convention could still take a different formation, hopefully the key speakers will all get their chance to speak.

This will be one Convention that the GOP won't soon forget. Mitt Romney, you would think, would have liked to get some bounce out of this event. He still has the debates for people to get an idea of who he is.

UPDATE : GOP CONVENTION SET TO BEGIN TUESDAY

Well, on the up side, everyone has an extra day to go over their speeches. It was a wise choice to delay the Convention by one day. Better to be safe than sorry.

I do not envy the person who's job it is to make the call whether to move forward tomorrow, or the worst case senario, call off the complete event. It could happen.

I'm having a tough time trying to figure to figure out how in a recent poll, close to 50% don't know Mitt Romney well enough. For all practial purposes, he's been running for President for eight years.

There was a outstanding interview Mitt had with Chris Wallace on FOX NEWS today. I hope anyone interested in Romney for President, had a chance to see the interview today.

A TRUE AMERICAN HERO IS GONE

Commander Neil Armstrong, at age 82, passed away today from complications he had due to heart bypass surgery.

On 7.20.1969, Neil Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon. The Apollo 11 space mission took three Americans to the moon for the first time. Neil was famous for the words he transponded back to earth : "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind,"

I can remember sitting & watching history in the making with my younger sister & my parents. I was so excited when he first stepped on the moon, I gave my sister a big hug, which I don't think she really wanted.

I would have to say next to the birth of my daughter and births of my two granddaughters, that first lunar landing is one of those moments you will never forget.

Godspeed Neil Armstrong. The next time I look up at a full moon, I'll wave to you.

GOP CONVENTION IS A GO, DESPITE WEATHER FORCAST

I guess there could be worse things than a  tropical storm, possibly upgrading to a hurricane. If it does form into a hurricane, it will be a catagory one. If it get's serious, Florida's Governor will call in the National Guard.

Mrs. Romney will give a speech Tuesday night and Marco Rubio will give a speech before he introduces the next President of the United States, former Gov. Mitt Romney.

If you have seen the news, these guys behind the scene have turned what ever the venue was into a true Convention center. I wish I could be there for all the festivities. It must be quite the experience.

I'm going to make this another short post. If you plan on watching the Convention on TV, I highly reccomend FOX NEWS. I know they will have coverage monday night. I don't think the three major networks will have coverage monday night.

THIS COULD GET REAL INTERESTING

A lot of people are going to settle into Tampa, Florida for Mondays start of the Republican National Convention.

One problem, his name is Isaac, Tropical Storm Isaac.Tampa, Florida has areas that are below sea level. This could prove quite catastrophic if Tampa would take a direct hit.

I'm writing this blog a little late in the day and haven't had a chance to watch the news, so I'm not quite sure what the latest forcast is.

I do know the GOP does have contingincy plans to fall back on, if need be. I'll keep this blog short since I don't have any up to date  information.

TAMPA, WE HAVE A PROBLEM........

Or to be more accurate, we could possibly have a big problem. Tropical Storm Isaac is forming in the Caribbean. Depending on which weather map you look at, this storm could land anywhere from the gulf states to Florida.

Although there is no set path as of yet, the GOP is not taking chances. It is making contingency plans just to be safe. It is re-arranging the schedule, moveing the roll call to the beginning of the week and moving some of speeches towards the end of the week.

They are also putting in place plans for an alternate location in case the sorm looks like it would be a direct hit to Tampa.

If anyone can remember if Mother Nature ever played a hand in shaping a political convention, let me know. I can't remember this ever happening before.

NEXT STOP TAMPA, 8.27.12

Look out Tampa......the Republicans are coming !

It won't be that bad, actually it will pump some always useful cash into the local economy.

The only thing that is a little bit strange is VP Joe Biden is going to Florida. I believe in the old rule, keep your friends close & keep your enemies closer but Joe, your the best tool in the GOP tool box.

Maybe Joe could start the convention with a few jokes, (turn the mic off first!) That won't work, Gov. Christie is giving the keynote address and I wouldn't want to be the one to steal his thunder. I can't wait until Pres. Elect Romney & VP Ryan give their speeches.

I believe there is a lot riding on this convention. It wouldn't be a stretch to say some undeceided votors that will listen to these two canidates to give their speeches before they they make a decision on who the're going to vote for.

MARK THESE TWO DATES ON YOUR CALENDER : PART II

11.6.12. & 1.20.13, Two extremely important dates in this country, maybe the most important in our lifetime. No one knows what the future will bring, I'm going to try my best to look into the future and put it on paper.

It's very early in the morning on 11.7.12, Exit polls Show President-Elect Mitt Romney Was announced as the winner of the 2012 Presidential Election. I could not sleep so I stayed up to face the music.

I'm a glass half full kind of guy and want to remain optimistic on how the election would end, it just wasn't easy. There's always a chance  that someone will have an unexpected edge.

Fast forward to 1.27.12. President Mitt Romney was sworn in as President. The nation as a whole has a new spring in it's step.   People are smiling again. don't get me wrong, there is a lot of work to do to get our country on the right path again.

Obamascare is fast becoming a faded nightmare. The President has all butt completed filling his cabinet. Sec.of Defense John McCain, Sec.of Treasury Steve Forbes, Sec.of Homeland Security Rudy Juliani, Chief of Education Mike Huckabee, the list was growing day by day.

America was starting to feel good about itself again. I believe America has found it's moral compass again.

MARK THESE TWO DATES ON YOUR CALENDER : PART I

11.6.12. & 1.20.13, Two extremely important dates in this country, maybe the most inportant in our lifetime. No one knows what the future will bring, I'm going to try my best to look into the future and put it on paper.

Early Wednesday, 11.7.12, The race for the Presidency of United States Is over. It was a close race as every one had guessed it would be. President Barack Obama has won a second term.

Only one word can describe this : Incredible.

Fast foward to 1.27.13.

Our country, still reeling from the fact that B.H.O.won a second term, is starting to come apart at the seems. It doesn't make sense, he lost the popular vote, and won the electoral vote. ( if you don't understand the last sentence, Google the words electoral college.)

The President realized he could not be re-elected in four years. So, he started to finish the job he started in '08.

In his State of the Union Address he did something no other President had ever done. He announced his Socialist agenda to the world.

And a shocked world it was, well all most. There were people in this country and abroad that could  see this coming.

He fired his complete Cabinet and replaced them with Bill Ayers and  other minions that he called czars. At this point, the worlds financial markets started to nose dive.

The protected copies of the Constitution, Declaration Of Independence, Bill of Rights, every document that linked us to our fallen country, we set on fire , in front of the former Capitol bldg.
Their were massive Flag burnings. Any one who tried to stop this mahem, was shot on the spot.

The Stars & Stripes were replaced with that infamous Obama campaign symbol. Our new Dictator was ready to finish the job he started, rule the "Socialist States of Amerika."And he deceided it was a life time position.

80 days and counting....

It will be here before you know it. Election Day. The day that Patriotic Americans will exercise their right to vote.

Now that Paul Ryan is the # 2 spot on the GOP ticket, It's time for the conventions and a complete onslaught of TV and radio ads.

It would be great if there would be no mud-slinging, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one. I'm anxious to watch the debates and look foward to listening to Gov.Chris Christie's kedynote speech.

Whatever happens on 11.6.12 there is one thing for certain, Obama thought he was handed a mess.
who ever wins in November is going to have one hell of a mess to clean up.Maakes you wonder why anyone would want the job in the first place.

I shutter at the thought of Obama keeping this job, where would our country be in 2016 ? Speaking of 2016, I would like to see that movie. The mainstream press is rally hiding from this movie.

Friends, we really do need a change in the White House. Let's make it happen !

I'LL SHOW MY 1040, IF YOU SHOW ME YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE !

Call me crazy, when I was collecting a regular paycheck, I never shared numbers with co-workers. There was a very good reason I wouldn't share my salary with my fellow co-workers. If  I made more money than one of my co-workers, they possibly could treat me different or flat out hold it against me.

So my tax return was protected the same way. My own family (except for my wife,) didn't know how much I made. It's just something we didn't talk about.

Now I realize that running for the office of President of the United States, you are pretty much living in a goldfish bowl, but give me a break, better yet give Mitt Romney break.

The Government knows everything about Mitt Romney that they need to know. B.H.O. might think he deserves to see the tax returns of the person who is taking his job in a few months, but he does not deserve to.

If  I was B.H.O., I'd be embarrased to have pushed the envelope as far as he has. This man has absolutely no shame whatsoever.

Oh yea, Barack............did you ever find you REAL birth certificate !

TELL US IT AIN'T SO, JOE.............

Taking a line from my favorite President, Ronald Reagan, "there he goes again."

The father of all gaffs, VP Joe Biden, stepped in "IT" again. For some reason Joe just has a knack for his never ending stream of gaffs. I know we all from time to time have had our mouths kick in before our brains do.

Unfortunately when you are addressing a predominately black audience in Danville, Va., you are bound to get some unwanted attention.

VP Biden was talking about the banks on Wall St.,and he had this to say, The GOP wants to "unchain Wall Street."

He didn't stop there, Then, Biden added, "they're going to put y'all back in chains."
Doug Wilder, The former Governor of Virginia, and the first black Governor elected in the United States took offense to the comments. As did many people accross the country.

I'm starting to think as long as Joe Biden is in office allowed to speak in public, he is the GOP's best weapon in their aresonal.

OBAMA'S RECORD OR LACK OF IT

As I was contemplating what I was going to blog about today, I thought that writing about the President's accomplishments would make for some interesting reading.

The only problem was there wasn't much to write about. I believe Jimmy Carter did more in his four years than B.H.O. did. And that isn't saying a lot.

The two Presidentsies do have alot in common. They both seriously screwed up this country. The only thing that B.H.O. owns up to is OBAMASCARE. When Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan take over in January, OBAMASCARE will suffer a quick and much needed death. At that point the only thing that is left is all the bailouts  he orchestrated. All his other blunders he gift wrapped and handed to Bush 43.

History will show that the Romney/Ryan team really did save America, and not a day too soon.

EVER BEEN BACKED INTO A CORNER ? ? ?

Have you ever visited the zoo, went to the tiger's cage and opened it up and backed the tiger into a corner ?

This is exactly what Mitt Romney did to the Dems when he picked Paul Ryan for his VP choice.

When you back an animal in a corner, he attacks, thinking his days are numbered. This is what B.H.O. and the rest of his minion's are doing right now. With a Presidental record equal only to Jimmy Carter, B.H.O. has put his attack mode into overdrive. Now all he has to do is learn to tell the truth, and he'll have it made

Take the  Medicare debacle for instance. He claims that Paul Ryans budget would kill Medicare.

Not true.

Americans 55 and older Medicare would stay the same. those of us 55 and younger would have options in choosing there Medicare plan.

So not only is B.H.O. running a mud-slinging campaign, he and those under him are lying at every turn.

B.H.O. is nothing but a paper tiger, I believe he will be a one term President on 11.6.12.

If I'm wrong ,God be with us and the country.

Back to the Future ? ? ?..................

As I watched the news last night, it hit me, It was like I was in a time machine.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan traveled home to Wisconsin. It was a homecoming for Mr. Ryan, who made a .007 move when Paul Ryan left Wisconsin in secrecy Friday night to go to Virginia, to be on the USS Wisconsin Saturday. That's when Mitt Romney announced Paul Ryan as his VP choice.

Here's where the time machine comes in.

As I watched Paul Ryan give his homecoming speech in Wisconsin, I felt like it was 1980 and the first President I voted for, President Reagan, was giving one of his speeches. Paul Ryan really reminds me of President Reagan.

I really beleive Paul Ryan shares alot of the late President's values and fiscal ideas And right now we
need a guy like Paul Ryan on the GOP ticket.

Timing is Everything in Life.............

I live by these words....Life..........it's all about the timing.

As you might of guessed I spend a good part of my day watching the news, Political news if I can and FOX NEWS is a great place to find it. Don't get me wrong, I have other interest and shows that I watch. Although if you want to write a good blog, you need to be informed.

Now let's take this past saturday for instance.  Timing was really bad. I had an eye doctor appointment at 9:30 in  the morning. I got a late start with the news on TV. No problem, I deceided to DVR the news while I was at the eye doctor. That is about the time Mitt Romney was going to make his official announcement for his VP choice.

Timing.

Now it will take me forever to sit down and watch the offical announcenent. I hope I have a chance to
watch it before Mitt Romney becomes President Mitt Romney.

Romney & Ryan........now that's a ticket !

I turned on the T.V. a little later than normal this morning. I'm not an easy guy to surprise, Mitt Romney figured out a way to do it.

Paul Ryan, who knew for a week he was Mitt Romney's choice, kept things air tight. The element of surprise really worked for Mr. Romney.

If I have my story right, the press caught wind of this at 11:00 pm Friday night. I thought I heard today that Mitt Romney left the cat out of the bag, telling the press that he was going to make an official announcement today.

I'm not positive I have that correct, because the organizers didn't even have their signs & banners ready yet.

Of all the prospects for the VP job, Paul Ryan & Marco Rubio were the two gentlemen that made sense for obvious reasons.

Truth be told, I really followed Paul Ryan last year when Congress was putting band-aid budgets together, and getting B.H.O. to sign them. That's when Paul Ryan's star really started to shine.

I believe the Romney/Ryan ticket will be a game changer in November.

My birthday falls on Election Day this year........I hope I get what I want for my birthday this year.

It's been a while..............I'm finally back blogging !

Before I get started, I want to thank all the readers who stopped by to read my blog while it was on auto pilot.

My last post was on 12..18.11., just shy of eight months.

After three hospital stays, ( the last stay the Dr. had to amputate one of my small toes, not a pretty picture..) all due to reoccuring infection of cellulitis. I finally have my own apartment. I moved in here in March, but the Dr. had me on walking restrictions hence no access to a computer.

I was still in the homeless shelter back in December. I had lost my access to a computer there too because I wasn't allowed to walk to the library. Dr's. orders.

Now I have my own place, have a computer, let the blogging begin !
