White House, Republicans Reach for Debt Deal With Senate Vote Looming

Lawmakers have until Aug. 2 to raise the $14.3 trillion debt ceiling or risk the possibility of default. The Obama administration says that after Tuesday, the Treasury can no longer pay all of America's bills.

On 1.15.11,  I posted a blog called " It's time to "Cap" the Debt Ceiling ! "  Here is a copy:

The Socialist-Liberals would have you believe that if Congress doesn't raise the Debt Ceiling, AGAIN, The Earth will literally break in half. Catastrophic events of Biblical Proportions, Armageddon ! ! !

What these Spend-a-holics are not telling you is, they would not be able to spend like there's no tomorrow. They would have to spend within their means,(GASP!). And worst of all, they would have to trim their current spending by at least 20% and eliminate some very old and tired and non-essential Government Agencies. ( See my post from 1.7.11, Mr.President......).

If Congress ignores America's wishes, and raises the Debt Ceiling, this Country is headed for absolute Disaster.

I feel like for the past six months I have been chasing my tail.

When are the Elected officials up on Capitol Hill  going to get it the the DEBT CEILING doesn't need raised, IT NEEDS TO BE CAPPED !

IF they would climate half the payroll in D.C., get rid of the Bureau"s and Departments  that are sucking the life out of our Government, we would have a Government Surplus !

They are simply afraid to eliminate Government jobs that the private sector would absorb anyway.

I pray the DEBT CEILING INCREASE will not create the damage that I know it will cause, it seems like that is a lost prayer.

President Obama's Approval Hits All-Time Low ! ! !

And if my gut feeling is correct, he hasn't hit bottom yet.

He has 1 1/2 years left in his Presidency, and as much as I'm a glass half full kinda guy, I think he will bottom out at about 35% next February.

Why then you ask ? Next February energy prices across the board will hit a all time high. Along with food and durable goods. Interest rates will also skyrocket.

I see this happening because B.H.O. will get his wish for increasing the DEBT CEILING, which will make our economy implode.

Not enough Americans are paying attention to this problem. Congress is getting away with murder and nobody wants to do anything about it.

Two years from now, 8 months after the 2012 Election, Americans are going to realize the once great Super Power they lived in is gone. We are steadily losing our freedoms at an alarming rate, by 7.4.13. freedom will be a distant memory.

Even if B.H.O. is thrown out of office in 2012, the damage he caused with be irreversible.

Now is the time to act, but the Congress we have in session right now, for the most part is giving B.H.O., not the people exactly what they want.

I'm glad I'm a glass half full kinda guy. Could you imagine how scary this article would be if I was a pessimist !

Fox News Poll: Majority Against Raising Debt Ceiling............

First things first, If my father were alive today, he would have been celebrating his 82nd birthday. Godspeed Dad. I miss you.!

O.K., now for the business at hand.

DEBT CEILING ! ! !........IT'S THE DEBT CEILING STUPID ! ! !

It came as no surprise to me when I read the FOX NEWS POLL yesterday. Voters were asked to imagine being a lawmaker in Congress who had to cast an up-or-down vote on raising the debt ceiling. The poll found 35 percent would vote in favor of increasing the limit, while 60 percent would vote against it.


And if that wasn't proof enough that the DEBT CEILING proposal should be should be scrapped, Most Tea Party people (81 percent), Republicans (76 percent) and independents (63 percent) would vote against raising the limit. Views among Democrats are more evenly divided: 50 percent would raise it and 44 percent wouldn’t.

Here's the part I don't understand. Even though a majority opposes raising the debt limit, more voters think it would be worse for the country if leaders fail to raise the limit and don’t pay some of the country’s bills (50 percent) than to raise the limit and borrow more money (40 percent).

I think B.H.O.'S scare tactics are working, the American people should no be buying his BULL&@#$  ! ! !

FOX'S POLL also showed when given more specific options, voters still prefer not to raise the debt ceiling, yet they are twice as likely to back a plan that includes both spending cuts and tax increases than one with just cuts.

Thirty-five percent would support raising the limit if it is accompanied by a mix of both spending cuts and taxes increases, compared to 17 percent who would increase it if accompanied by cuts but no tax increases. The largest number though -- 42 percent -- still says the limit should not be raised at all.


A 63-percent majority of voters thinks raising taxes during an economic downturn is a bad idea. That’s down from a high of 80 percent who thought so two years ago (August 2009).

Meanwhile, 42 percent of voters think getting rid of tax deductions is the same as raising taxes; 47 percent disagree.

The Fox News poll is based on land line and cell phone interviews with 904 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide and was conducted under the joint direction of Anderson Robbins Research (D) and Shaw Company Research (R) from July 17 to July 19. For the total sample, it has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

The bottom line here is that the majority of the people do not want a DEBT CEILING increase, and the will hold those accountable who support it.

Rep. Michele Bachmann, The Titanium Spine and The Debt Ceiling

Rep. Michele Bachmann claims that B.H.O. doesn't have a plan to fix the Debt Crisis.

And going by his track record, I would bet he probably doesn't. I personally think he doesn't want it fixed.!
In some twisted Socialist Democratic way, he is gambling that  the GOP will take the fall if it's not fixed.

In steps Rep. Michele Bachmann, who, like me , is adamantly opposed to a DEBT CEILING increase. She has all ready said she will not vote for Speaker John Boehner's latest plan.

FOX NEWS quoted Rep.Bachmann saying : "I won't raise taxes, I will reduce spending and I won't vote to raise the debt ceiling, and I have the titanium spine to see it through."

I applaud Rep. Bachmann's courage to stand up for what is right. House Speaker Boehner, who I have alot of respect for is caving in to the DEMS by putting a hike in the DEBT CEILING in his plan.

Speaker Boehner should scrap his plan and start over. Start by taking the DEBT CEILING part out. And then eliminate wasteful D.C. relics like the IRS, the Dept. of Interior, the Dept.of Education, the Dept. of Energy. there is alot of money to be saved by trimming our bloated Government.

Somebody needs to have the "STONES" to do it.

I believe Rep. Michele Bachmann would get the job done !

Is the GOP going to pull off the Great Dept Crisis Caper !

Will the GOP in the House of Representatives Pull off the Great Debt Caper? Loyalty Will Decide.

Sarah Palin was quoted  “On the Record w/Greta Van Susteren” “[The president’s] getting pretty good at this fear mongering and that’s why the American public and our congressmen and women need to take a step back and be reasonable and rational.”

SHE IS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!, B.H.O. is the best when it comes to fear mongering.

Republicans have been slamming Democrats on the issue over President Obama’s request to increase the nation’s $14.3 trillion credit limit.

Increasing the DEBT CEILING would be like dumping gasoline on a fire.Capitol Hill has to come to grips with the realization that They have a SPENDING problem, not a REVENUE problem !

Democrats have backed off  their calls for tax increases and have turned to (with the help of creative accounting) the idea of pairing each dollar of increased borrowing power with a dollar of spending cuts.Talk about fuzzy math.

Rep. Heath Shuler and other red-state Democrats were willing to support an austere plan to cut spending deeply, cap future outlays and enact a balanced budget amendment favored by conservative Republicans, but they aren’t willing to support Speaker John Boehner’s substitute plan for a six-month extension.WHY ?

An irony here for the most conservative members of the House is that because they oppose even the stalled “Cut, Cap and Balance” plan for being too lax on spending, they of course oppose the Boehner alternative because it is only a stopgap package of cuts. Like Rahm Emanuel after the Panic of 2008, they don’t want to waste a crisis. Plus, an immediate, 40-percent reduction in government spending sounds pretty darned good to a lot of conservatives.

But the overwhelming bipartisan majority in Congress is ready to avoid any delays surrounding the debt ceiling. They worry that world markets could crumble and that while President Obama would be the biggest loser, every incumbent would take the blame for being unable to avert a crisis.

The opposition of Rep. Michele Bachmann and others to every plan means that Democratic votes are more important when it comes down to passing any plan.

And if House Republicans destroy the alternative plan on offer from House Speaker John Boehner, the only vehicle for the final compromise will be Senate legislation offered by Majority Leader Harry Reid. Which platform do you think will be more conservative? That would not be a good thing.

For the sake of this Great Nation, God willing, the GOP will prevail !

Vermont Senator Wants Obama to Face Primary Challenger ..................

 THIS IS  &^%$#@!  GOLDEN ! ! !

The only thing that could make this better is if Senator. Bernie Sanders Challenged B.H.O. IN 2012 himself.

The Junior Senator  from the state of Vermont and also and Independent, is a devout Socialists and Democrat. So why does he want B.H.O. out of office ?

Bernie thinks our Socialists President has moved too far to the right towards the GOP.

WHAT !...SERIOUSLY, ARE YOU KIDDING ME ! ! !

Sanders believes that B.H.O. has not lived up to his campaign promises like Social Security. I can't argue with Bernie, he has broken a lot of Campaign promises.

FOX NEWS quoted Bernie as saying :  "I think one of the reasons the president has been able to move so far to the right is that there is no primary opposition to him and I think it would do this country a good deal of service if people started thinking about candidates out there to begin contrasting what is a progressive agenda as opposed to what Obama is doing," Sanders said on radio host Thom Hartmann's show.


Sanders, while left of most elected Democrats, is an independent and could not step up to the plate to challenge Obama unless he registered as a Democrat.


FOX NEWS went on to report Bernie as saying : "There are a lot of smart honest, progressive people who I think can be good presidents," he said. "This is an issue ... we are beginning to talk about a little bit."


This is hard for me to say, I agree with Bernie, NOT on policy but someone from the left should challenge B.H.O. in the Primaries !

"CUT,CAP AND BALANCE".......sounds like a plan to me ! ! !

I have always said, If you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself !

Sounds like House Speaker John Boehner lives by the same principles, and that's a good thing !

By the end of today, Sunday 7.24.11., If the DEMS won't sign on to Spkr. Boehner's Framework, he's moving ahead without them.

My hats off to him for standing up for what's right. He was even willing to go way out on a limb and raise the Debt Ceiling, which I thoroughly oppose in exchange for cuts in the massive budget deficit. The DEM's wanted nothing to do with that !

Last week B.H.O. was drilling for more tax hikes ( of course!, ) And thank God the Speaker (John Boehner) wasn't falling for that, so he walked away from the talks.

According to FOX NEWS, On a separate track, Boehner said his last offer remains "on the table." Under that plan, Boehner acknowledged he had agreed to $800 billion in new revenue over the next decade -- combined with spending cuts and other changes worth far more than that.
 Boehner insisted the $800 billion would come from a broadened tax base and not from any tax increase.
 "It was not raising taxes," he said, no doubt mindful of House conservatives' stiff opposition to anything that resembles a tax hike.
What shattered the talks, Boehner said, was a White House demand to weave $400 billion in additional revenue into the package.

I hope in the end, WE get the cuts in the deficit we desperately need, We Cap the Debt Ceiling, and not raise it and finally get a balanced budget agreement.!

If Congress raises the DEBT CEILING, God help us all. ! ! !

B.H.O. IS COMPARING THE DEBT CRISIS TO PRES.LINCOLN AND THE EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION.

As I am tucked away here in a cozy homeless shelter in Gettysburg, Pa., I was pondering the headline I just read on FOX NEWS ONLINE.

As history would have it ,The proclamation signed by Lincoln in 1863 did not abolish slavery all together. It applied only to states that had rebelled against the Union, leaving slavery legal in the border states during the Civil War. Total abolition of slavery was finalized by the 13th amendment which took effect 3 years later.

Let's compare apples to apples here.

IN the FOX NEWS REPORT,Obama brought up the proclamation, which he says is hanging in the Oval Office, after being asked a question by Mary Wagner, a school teacher in the audience. Wagner explained that she is teaching her students about the two-party governmental system and the importance of compromise. But Wagner asked "[A]re things changing?...Do we not use compromise anymore?"

The president said that Wagner was correct to question it because culture is now pushing against compromise. But "if Abraham Lincoln could make some compromises as part of governance," Obama said, "[T]hen surely we can make some compromises when it comes to handling our budget."

I read this article over and over again and I could not find any correlation between B.H.O.'S mess and the Emancipation Proclamation.

OBAMA AND GEITHNER COULD FACE "IMPOSSIBLY DIFFICULT" AUGUST IF DEBT CEILING PROBLEM ISN'T FIXED.

This is a very scary situation at best.

B.H.O. and TURBO TAX CHEAT Timothy Geithner with be holding this Countries future in their hands if the Debt Ceiling Crisis Is not fixed fixed by 8.2.11.

We, as a Nation can't afford to have those two deciding which bills will get paid and which ones won't.

It's almost as if they somehow,someway they planned for this to happen this way.

You don't hear much out of Geithner these days, a couple of well scripted talking points here and there,. but nothing that means anything, And B.H.O. is steering the ship like a drunken sailor !

According to FOX NEWS, Among the major outlays facing the president and the treasury secretary on that date would be Medicare and Medicaid (a combined $50 billion); Social Security (approximately $50 billion, including the $23 billion set to be disbursed on Aug. 3); payments to vendors retained by Department of Defense ($31.7 billion); and interest on Treasury securities ($29 billion).

Like I said, we don't wat these two to make huge financial decisions. B.H.O.never  ran a business and Geithner can't even figure out his own taxes !

FOX also reported that "Not everything is going to be paid, and someone has to decide what's not going to be paid," said Ron Haskins, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution. "The bills are higher than the income."

This is where things will really get absolutely tricky,"The bills are higher than the income."


Now what do we do.

I hope and pray the Congress get's this fixed before 8.2.11. NO DEBT CEILING INCREASE , CUT THE GOV'T DOWN TO A MUCH SMALLER SIZE, AND IF YOU REALLY HAVE TO, RAISE TAXES ON THE UBER-RICH, PEOPLER MAKING 1 MILLION DOLLARS OR MORE ! If an indvidual or company is not paying taxes....make them pay ! Elimate the I.R.S. and institute a flat tax, a simple one that everyone must pay, and everyone will understand.

Problem solved. NOW GET TO WORK CONGRESS, TIME IS RUNNING OUT !

WHITE HOUSE WANTS TO GIVE CONGRESS MORE TIME TO STRIKE DEBT CEILING DEAL ?

This Debt Ceiling debacle is getting so ridiculous, that it is almost funny.

Notice I said almost.............

This is probably the most important piece of legislation to be put forth by Congress since Congress brought it's first session to order over 200 years ago.

When it is all said and done, Congress will vote to raise the Debt Ceiling, which will eventually destroy our country, or they will hold the line on spending, cut the fat out of our Government by eliminating all the unnecessary Departments in government, which will bring prosperity back to our country.

FOX NEWS reported that the president would be willing to support a "very short-term extension" if a broader deal is reached by the deadline and lawmakers just need more time to work out the details.

That to me sounds like political hogwash ! ! !

FOX NEWS also reported that Press Secretary Carney reiterated that Obama's opposition stands to "a toll booth kind of series of provisions that temporarily or in a limited fashion raise the debt ceiling." But he said the president would make an "exception" if a deal is reached "to allow a bit of extra time for a bill to work its way through the legislative process."

The bottom line is the" Line in the Sand " has been moved twice, we don't need to move it again !

Congress, get as deal done and move on to other problems that need fixed. That's why you were sent to D.C. in the first place !

And remember...DON'T RAISE THE DEBT CEILING AND RUIN OUR GREAT COUNTRY !

Life as a homeless person, living in a homeless shelter...........

I know this is a political blog, and when you really think about it, this is a political problem.

6.28.11, I was out of options, after loosing my house, my car and an apartment I was renting. I had a life altering decision to make.

I actually lost my apartment on Memorial Day weekend. I stayed with some family members for a month, but you come to realize you are upsetting their routine by staying with them. It was decision time.

So I contacted a homeless shelter. I am a very independent person, always have tried to support myself. Now I had an extremely big challenge, I was going to have to depend on complete strangers to help me survive.

I really did not know how to handle this.

Where did I go wrong, what did I do to get to this point in my life.

It was very overwhelming to say the least. It was also a bit humbling.

Looking back over the past three weeks, I have learned the true meaning of homelessness.

To me, it means I was lucky to have the shelter in the first place. It also means there are people who have it  a Hell of alot worse than I do.

The people in the shelter have become part of my extended family. Strange, I never thought I'd end up in a homeless shelter, maybe it did me some good. I look at strangers on the street alot different know. I don't assume that my life will always be perfect, there will always be a chance for rough spots, and now I know how to deal with them.

That's not to say I've had a perfect live. I have had my problems before, this time it's different though.

With God's help I'll get through this, no question in my mind.

Thinking back to the beginning of this blog, I need to correct something. This is not a political problem. It is a problem where strangers are helping strangers. Good Americans helping Good Americans.

The Federal Government would screw this situation up if they were given the channce. The Lion's share of donations at the homeless shelter is given by indviduals and organizations. And that is the way it should be.

Smaller Government and more Private Individuals and Organizations. helping out.

I want to thank the shelter who is helping me survive, they will remain nameless to protect their privacy.

Former C.B.O. Director says Failure to Raise Debt Ceiling Would be Felt by all Americans

ARE YOU KIDDING ME ! ! !

Let's say you have a credit card with a balance of 14,400 dollars on it.

The only thing you could pay every  month was the interest, And you have been doing that for years.Yet year after year after year your bank keeps upping your credit limit, or as the Government calls it, your Dept Ceiling !

In the real world, this would never happen. In fact, a smart  bank would put a permanent hold on your credit line.

We, the defenseless citizens outside the belt way, are living in the real world, The loons inside the beltway are living in one really big fantasy world !

Again, our one party system is willing to raise the Debt System, both the DEMS and the once GOP want to raise it.

Fox News reports that even the Tea Party is going along with this ridiculous idea-- but only after big and immediate spending cuts and adoption by Congress of a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced federal budget. YEA LIKE THAT'S REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN ! ! !

They are calling it "cut, cap and balance" , I call it "business as usual !

These clown's in D.C. just don't get it if all parties want an additional 2.4 TRILLION dollars in new spending.

UNION OPPOSES PENNSYLVANIA'S PLAN TO PRIVATIZE LIQUOR STORES.

Once again the Socialists  Unions are trying to prevent Capitalism from happening.

Pennsylvania has an extremely antiquated way of selling alcoholic beverages in it's borders. Beer is sold either in beer distributors or by the six pack at bars with limits ( if memory serves me correctly 2 or 3 six pack limit.)

Wine and spirits are sold in Liquor Stores owned and operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, through the Liquor Control Board.

I know this sounds completely crazy, but it's true. I've lived in Pa. all my life, and have had friends visit from other States scratching their heads when I tell them they can't go to 7-Eleven to by beer or wine !

The State of Pa. is in the liquor business, add the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1776 to the mix and you have a monopoly.

 Republican Majority Leader Mike Turzai, would liked to get rid of this Government Monstrosoty, But the Unions and DEMS want no part of that. I think it's the Caspitalism part of the deal that scares them.

BURNING OR DESTROYING THE AMERICAN FLAG SHOULD BE A FELONY ! ! !

OK, back on 4.4.11 I wrote a blog that touched on the subject of flag burning.

Now I'm really going to write about it.

Fox News reported that beginning just two days before July 4 and continuing through July 11, four incidents of flag burning occurred in Roselle Parks, N.J., home to many active and veteran military men and women.

That is extremely sad.

According to Fox News, A similar incident occurred on July 7 in the Canyon Creek subdivision of Richardson, Texas. A total of 53 flags planted by local Boy Scouts in front of their respective homes were found torn from their poles, according to Investigator Jonathan Wakefield of the Richardson Police Department.

If you reference back to my blog on 4.4.11. I went into great detail how Flag burning, In my opinion, is not Freedom of Speech. I even took the defination of "speech" out of the dictionary and posted it.

Lighting a match and burning the symbol of our Country that thousands and thousands of our men and woman have given their lives for, is not freedom of speech.

And if it is, shooting the person that would do such a dispicable act, should be freedom of speech.

17 days until the Political Armageddon commences in D.C. ! ! !

Well everyone, the end is near.

Forget about about Nostradamus, we have B.H.O. to tell us the end is near ! ! !

Problem is, HE'S LYING TO US ..........AGAIN ! ( SURPRISE! ) If the DEMS would get it through their fat heads that raising the Dept Ceiling would be POLITICAL and FINANCIAL SUICIDE that this country would never be able to recover from, and reducing the debt by lowering taxes and reducing Government  would bring this country to it's feet again, a lot of D.C.'S problems would be fixed.

But politics does not work that way. It's an ugly beast at best

I know I'm always saying that there is only one political party in D.C., It seems like that most of the time. In reality though, there are two different sets of idealolgies at work here.

The reality is that the DEMS believe in their hearts that raising taxes (and the Debt Ceiling,) would fix everything.

It actually would put the Nation in a downward spiral that we would as a nation never survive !

The GOP on the other hand, believe the Nation doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem !

They are correct.

If we would take a bit of short term pain, cap the Debt Ceiling, re-invent the outdated tax system, close down the many bureaus in D.C. that do nothing but cost taxpayers undue stress, elimanate Federal Government jobs that have no real purpose, I.E. The Dept. of the Interior, Deptof Energy ,Dept of Education, The Federal Reserve, the IRS we would be in good shape.

The people that hold those Federal jobs would find plenty of jobs in the private sector.

I could go on and on and on, but it would only be repitious.

94-Year-Old Complains Of TSA Pat-Down.........INCREDIBLE ! ! !

Way back on 4.14.11, I wrote a post on the T.S.A. and how they were violating our constitutional rights. Well the aviation Nazis are at it again ! ! !

A 94 yr. old .........yes a 94 yr.old Jacksonville, Fla. woman was fondled, or patted down as our Nazis at the T.S.A. would tell you, while checking in at  Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina .

This poor little old lady,( and I picture my own grandmother here, she died at 94. ) had a 100 % pat down.When I say 100% ( this is going to be graphic ! ) I mean the touched her breast and crotch and everywhere else you can think of.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DEPLORABLE ! ! !

Is this what our Country wants ???

If I wanted a 100% pat down from a local escort service, I'd be in jail, in seconds flat.

I don't want that pat down from the escort service, thank you very much !

And I don't want someones grandmother to endure this kind of nonsense either.

It has to stop.....NOW ! ! !

The President Declares He Will Shoot His Hostages

I didn't realize that B.H.O. had hostages, but he does.

They are the senior citizens. The President wants to raise the spending and the Debt Ceiling. The GOP is against that, for good reason. If the President doesn't get his way, He will refuse to pay Senior Citizens,
I.E. Social Security check's. Metaphorically speaking "shooting his hostages !

Now I have said this millions of times, ( I know because I've been counting, ) THIS COUNTRY DOESN'T HAVE A REVENUE PROBLEM, IT HAS A SPENDING PROBLEM ! ! !

Their are so many items that could and should be trimmed in D.C., but the Lawmakers don't have the stones to do it. They keep bringing up SSI, Medicare and other social programs that unfortunately the seniors depend on,  I'm not a fan of Social Benefits, but that toothpaste has been out of the tube for a long time, and you cant put toothpaste back in a tube !

Let's start buy reducing every paycheck on Capitol Hill. Now that is true Debt Reduction !

Senators, congresspeople, staff people, Then let's move to the White House and make some painful  monetary paycheck adjustments for everyone, even the staff !

These are all good ways to reduce the Deficit and Debt Ceiling.

But it's only a start, there are so many people working in D.C. that it is out of control, and someone need to start controlling it.

House defends military spending on NASCAR

WOW ! ! !  NASCAR AND POLITICS IN A BLOG TOGETHER !

For anyone that knows me and knows me well, NASCAR is my sport. OK it might not be the same sport it was 20 years ago, and definitely not the same sport as it was in 1948 at it's birth.

NASCAR is different than any other sport in America. NO UNIONS, thank God. If you want to start a NASCAR  team, you will need some major financial backing. Just like Saturday night racing, these cars cost money to build and race.

This is where this blog comes together.

NASCAR  is as American as apple pie. It's roots are deeply seeded in the south. It grew into a National, actually an International Sport. People from all over the world love NASCAR.

Like I said, these NASCAR teams cost money, big money, easily north of 25 million dollars just to run one car a full year competitively. So owners of the teams go after corporate sponsorship to fund their teams. A much different business model than let's say Football or Baseball.

A few week's ago a Democrat from Minnesota,, ( MOST LIKELY A SOCIALIST, ) deceided the Armed Forces should not waste their money, ( SHE, THE REP.BETTY McCOLLUM FROM MINN, PROBABLY WOULD BE ABLE TO WASTE IT BETTER ! )  on sponsoring NASCAR teams.

What dear Rep. Betty McCollom failed to realize is, when you sponsor a NASCAR team, you get a good return on you investment. ( Betty is probably so used to just flushing money down the toilet, she didn't understand this concept. )

Betty wanted to slash the Armed Forces NASCAR money from63 million to 20 million dollars @ year. The House voted  167-260 to kill her Admendment. Rep. Bill Young ( R-Fla ) said spending money on NASCAR is a recruiting tool. the ARMY alone is expected to attract 28,700 prospects this year, just from NASCAR. and give recruiters access to 182 schools through it's sponsorship.

I doubt Rep.Betty McCollom ever was close to a NASCAR race, to watch the Military Fly overs or to see how our Military participates in the NASCAR  opening cermonies, or to see how Patriotic NASCAR fans are.

In closing, all I have to say is this. D.C. blows a ton of our money. I'm glad to see a small portion of it is put to good use.

B.H.O. wants $1 trillion in taxes on top of what he's already signed..

 1 TRILLION DOLLARS IN  NEW TAXES ! ! !

House Speaker John Boehner wants to reduce the deficit by 4 TRILLION DOLLARS over ten years and B.H.O. wants 1 TRILLION dollars in tax's on top of the money he's all ready spent.

Now we have a stalemate.

I wonder why ?

To top it off he wants these tax increases with a promise he will promise tax reform at a later date.

I hope the GOP, EVEN THE RHINOS, don't fall for this boondoggle. According to the Wall Street Journal, B.H.O. has already signed the largest tax increase since 1993.

 While everyone focuses on the Bush tax rates that expire after 2012, other tax increases are already set to hit the economy thanks to the 2010 Affordable Care Act. As a refresher, here's a non-exhaustive list of Obama Care's tax increases:

 *The WSJ writes that in 2013, the bill adds an additional 0.9% to the 2.9% Medicare tax for singles who earn more than $200,000 and couples making more than $250,000.

*This will cost Taxpayers over 10 years: $210 billion.

*Starting in 2013 is a 2.3% excise tax on medical device manufacturers and importers. That's estimated to raise $20 billion.

 *Already underway this year is, is a gift to the tax payers, the new annual fee on "branded" drug makers and importers, which will raise $27 billion.

 *Another $15.2 billion will come from raising the floor on allowable medical deductions to 10% of adjusted gross income from 7.5%., all at the taxpayers expense.

 *Starting in 2018, the bill imposes a whopping 40% "excise tax" for the taxpayers on high-cost health insurance plans. Though it only applies to two years in the 2010-2019 window of ObamaCare's original budget score, this tax would still raise $32 billion—and much more in future years.

  *A new annual fee on health insurance providers starting in 2014 and estimated to raise $60 billion. This tax, like many others on this list, will be passed along to consumers in higher health-care costs.

This is just a partial list of new taxes we can look foward to. And it must be stopped if this Country has any chance of surviving B.H.O.'S ANTI-AMERICAN AGENDA ! ! !

IS D.C. TRYING TO SEND US A MESSAGE ? ? ?

U.S. REP. RON PAUL (R-TEX) is predicting bankruptcy.

He blames big Government for out of control spending and running up the deficit and increasing the debt ceiling.

Who can blame him for that logic.

Fox News reported Treasury Secretary Tim "Turbo Tax" Geithner said many Americans will face hard times for a long time to come.

OK, I can't argue with that logic either !

He also said "President Barack Obama rescued the United States from a second Great Depression."

OK, no way in Hell can I agree with that.

 B.H.O. will be putting us in a Great Depression shortly if he doesn't help the GOP cap the DEBT CEILING, REDUCE THE DEFICIT BY AT LEAST 4 TRILLION DOLLAR'S.
AND REDUCE SPENDING SUBSTANTIALLY.

We all know that D.C. likes to blow smoke up our skirts ocassionally. ( figure of speech, I don't wear skirts.)

Unfortuately I am starting to see messages in the messages. I know, i know.......This is standard Washington D.C.

Is D.C. trying to tell us they can't fix the mess they created since President Woodrow Wilson was in office ?

House Speaker Rep. John Boehner and GOP cave in to B.H.O.'s DEMANDS

Well........I finally figured out what chore B.H.O. is capable of doing in D.C.

Strongarming Speaker Boehner and the rest ouf the House on the Hill.

He has proved more than once he can do that.

The GOP wanted 4 TRILLION in Deficit Cuts, the socialists left wing wanted 2 TRILLION in deficit cuts.

GUESS WHO WON ! (keep in mind, the GOP holds the keys to the HOUSE.)

B.H.O. and his socialist minions.

Boehner and the GOP caved because they new B.H.O.wants to hike taxes. The deal is 2 TRILLION in cuts and no tax hike.

My guess is taxes will go up, and we probably will never ever see a reduction in the Deficit. In fact they still plan to raise the Debt Ceiling !

I said it before and I'll say it again........WE ONLY HAVE ONE POLITICAL PARTY IN THIS COUNTRY ! ! !........AND IT TIME FOR A SECOND POLITICAL PARTY.

Anybody who thinks we have a two party system, is tragically mistaken.

We need someone to stand up and have the conviction in their heart to run on a SERIOUS third, I mean second party. They will need some serious financial backing from somewhere, that's why we have a one party system.

B.H.O FINALLY ADMITS "ECONOMY HAS A LONG WAY TO GO."

I really don't know where to start on this one.

I could sit here all day and write on this subject, and still have to come back tomorrow to to finish.

The Labor Dept. reported that the private sector employers added 18,000 new jobs in June. That is the fewest amount of jobs created in nine months.

Incredible......

The jobless rate jumped to 9.2 % from 9.1 %. The job growth is not even keeping up with the population growth. Kinda scary huh ? It would take 125,000 new jobs just to keep pace with the population growth.

The President found a new word on his teleprompter. He is blaming "headwinds" for the uptick in unemployment. Webster's dictionary describes headwinds as a rise in gasoline prices, the European Financial Crises,  State and local budget cuts and last but not least, uncertainly over the Dept Limit. Don't look for a copy of the dictionary in your local bookstore, I think The President received the one and only copy.

Like I said, I could spend all day writing this, but I'm not going to.

When Obama took office, the economy is down 2.5 million jobs. OUCH ! ! ! The jobless rate has been at 9 percent. What do you think the chances are that B.H.O. will be re-elected.

In June, businesses added the fewest jobs in more than a year. Governments cut 39,000 jobs. Over the past eight months, federal, state and local governments have cut a combined 238,000 positions.

The number of unemployed workers rose almost 175,000 to 14.1 million, pushing up the unemployment rate. The number of long-term unemployed -- those without a job for 27 weeks or more -- made up nearly half of that number.

THE END OF AN ERA .......SHUTTLE STS-135 ATLANTIS SET FOR FINAL JOURNEY.

04.12.81...............Shuttle STS-1


I was 21 yrs. old, wet behind the ears, getting ready to start a new career of my own. Selling Buick's during the ugliest recession in history, (up 'til now, we're in the recession that won't go away!)

NASA was getting ready to start something new. Up until now we sent manned rockets up that had a capsule that would separate from the rocket, and become self supporting. I followed the space program as I was growing up.

Now NASA had something new. They developed a "Shuttle" that started out with two booster rockets and a fuel tank with enough fuel in it to get the Shuttle into orbit. Once in orbit, the Shuttle could hook up with the manned space station, all ready under construction. the The fleet of Shuttles actually transported parts of the space station to the construction site.

NASA had five Shuttles. Columbia, Challenger, Atlantis, Endeavour and Discovery.

Unfortunately NASA lost two of its Shuttles is Space tragedies. Challenger exploded seconds after lift off. on 01.28.86. Faulty fuel line o-rings were to blame. Our nation mourned a tragic loss as all members of the Shuttle perished.

The second Shuttle tragedy occurred 2.1.2003.

The Shuttle Columbia disintegrated upon re-entry into the earths atmosphere. Faulty tiles to cool the Shuttles undercarriage were deemed defective. Again, our Nation wipedc it's tears.

Hopefully, someday the U.S.A. will proudly enter our own space travel again.

B.H.O. IS ATTEMPTING POLITICAL SUICIDE ! ! !

I'm convinced B.H.O. does not want to be President anymore.

Personally I'm quite O.K. with that !

According to Fox News, " President Obama will propose to congressional leaders today a plan that trades an immediate increase to the federal government’s $14.3 trillion credit limit and increased taxes in exchange for a bouquet of immediate and prospective spending cuts and tweaks to entitlement and welfare programs, including Medicare and Social Security. "

I think this guy is becoming totally unhinged.

Seriously !

Give us a raise in the Debt Ceiling and raise taxes and as a side dish, cuts in Medicare and Social Security.

Here's an idea ! ! !..........get rid of the Federal Reserve, The IRS, The Dept. Education and all the other wasteful Governmental boondoggles and cut taxes at the same time !

D.C. just doesn't get it .

IT HAS NEVER BEEN A REVENUE PROBLEM ! ! ! ! IT'S A SPENDING PROBLEM ! ! !

HEY UNIONS....HOW IS THAT MARRIAGE WITH BARACK OBAMA WORKING OUT FOR YA !

Seems like the love affair between B.H.O. and the Labor Unions is dying, and dying fast.

The fat cats at the top of the unions like  AFL-CIO Presidet Richard Trumka  and others are finding they are not getting the bang for their buck like they thought they would.

Mr.Trumka was quoted  at a National Press Club meeting, (now that's a marriage made in heaven !)
“You can be a friend and make a mistake once in a while. And we forgive you for that mistake. The difference is this: that we're not going to spend precious resources helping candidates that don't stand up and help us.

WOAH !.....Barack needs these Unions in 2012 to win re-election, are the in his back pocket ? I believe Barack is not delivering the goods promised in 2008. That could be politically fatal !

The NEA, SEIU, and the American Federation are not saying too much.......and that's sending bad signals.

A few GOP hopefuls are actually courting the Unions ! Former Gov. Mitt Romney and former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty to name a few. That could spell danger for the Dems in 2012.

Nov.2012 is a bit in the distance, although I believe you can see the writing on the wall.

Barack.........you are in trouble. Call in the Harlem Globe Trotters, you're going to need them !

Michelle Bachman : PLEASE SIGN THE PLEDGE ! ! !


There is a very important piece of paper floating around the hall of Congress these days, It is called the Cut , Cap and Balance Pledge.

The name alone would would have me signing it !

The brainchild of the Republican Study Committee, has been gaining lots of support in recent days as another litmus test for Republican candidates. It calls for immediate spending cuts to reduce the deficit by half next year. It would also impose enforceable caps that bring spending in line with average revenues at 18 percent of the GDP. It would require House and Senate passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution. GOP contender Jon Huntsman is the only other candidate not to sign it.

Some believe the pledge eases the tension that the debt ceiling gridlock is presently paralyzing Congress. But Bachmann wants more out of the pledge, by defunding President Obama's Affordable Healthcare Act. She says she's "mulling over" signing the pledge.

This pledge, if instituted would be nothing short of historical.

If a GOP candidate wants the White House, they must sign this pledge.

C'mon Michelle, sign it !

The Unanimous Declaration

of the Thirteen United States of America

When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

I'M BACK ! ! !.........AND MY STORY IS NOT A HAPPY ONE.

To all my faithful viewers around the world, ( and yes, I have a global audience. ) it has been since 4.14.11 that I posted a blog.

A lot has happened in our world.

Osama Bin Laden was captured and killed by the U.S. Navy Seals. That was probably the biggest news story of the year. If anything it ties in importance with Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami. I hope our friends in Japan are recovering at Godspeed.

And this being a Political blog, let's not forget D.C's Hot Potato ............Capping the DEBT CEILING !

Notice I said the word capping.

Congress LISTEN UP ! IF YOU DON'T CAP THE DEBT CEILING :

First & foremost, It will destroy our country,

Second, anyone dumb enough in Congress, I don't care what party, who even thinks of raising the DEPT CEILING will be thrown out of office so quick they will think a tornado hit them !

OK, now my story, It's not pretty.

Back about the time I posted my last blog, a series of events started happening in my life I thought I'd never experience.

My wife lost her job. Very long story, still she lost her job. I have been waiting for SSD (disability) since Nov. '08. I do have a hearing pending anytime now. I still don't have any money.

You know where this is going.

Did I mention my wife is a Former Marine ?

To make a long story short..........We were evicted from our apartment Memorial Day weekend.

My wife and step-daughter are staying with my Mother-in-law. I stayed there two weeks. It's a very small two bedroom Section 8 apartment. I decided to go to my daughters to allow my wife, step-daughter and mother-in-law more space.

My daughters house is a three bedroom ranch, and she has two daughters. I really felt like I was putting a burden on them. I did stay with them for about a week and a half.

So here I am, staying at the Adams County Shelter for the Homeless. It is located in Gettysburg, Pa. Odd how this all worked out on the 4th of July weekend

I am very grateful to have a roof over my head, yet I miss my wife and step-daughter dearly !

I know with God's grace this "situation" will be over soon.

I just want everyone reading my blog to take a minute to pray for the homeless in  our country, especially our Veterans !
