To all my faithful viewers around the world, ( and yes, I have a global audience. ) it has been since 4.14.11 that I posted a blog.
A lot has happened in our world.
Osama Bin Laden was captured and killed by the U.S. Navy Seals. That was probably the biggest news story of the year. If anything it ties in importance with Japan's devastating earthquake and tsunami. I hope our friends in Japan are recovering at Godspeed.
And this being a Political blog, let's not forget D.C's Hot Potato ............Capping the DEBT CEILING !
Notice I said the word capping.
Congress LISTEN UP ! IF YOU DON'T CAP THE DEBT CEILING :
First & foremost, It will destroy our country,
Second, anyone dumb enough in Congress, I don't care what party, who even thinks of raising the DEPT CEILING will be thrown out of office so quick they will think a tornado hit them !
OK, now my story, It's not pretty.
Back about the time I posted my last blog, a series of events started happening in my life I thought I'd never experience.
My wife lost her job. Very long story, still she lost her job. I have been waiting for SSD (disability) since Nov. '08. I do have a hearing pending anytime now. I still don't have any money.
You know where this is going.
Did I mention my wife is a Former Marine ?
To make a long story short..........We were evicted from our apartment Memorial Day weekend.
My wife and step-daughter are staying with my Mother-in-law. I stayed there two weeks. It's a very small two bedroom Section 8 apartment. I decided to go to my daughters to allow my wife, step-daughter and mother-in-law more space.
My daughters house is a three bedroom ranch, and she has two daughters. I really felt like I was putting a burden on them. I did stay with them for about a week and a half.
So here I am, staying at the Adams County Shelter for the Homeless. It is located in Gettysburg, Pa. Odd how this all worked out on the 4th of July weekend
I am very grateful to have a roof over my head, yet I miss my wife and step-daughter dearly !
I know with God's grace this "situation" will be over soon.
I just want everyone reading my blog to take a minute to pray for the homeless in our country, especially our Veterans !
Yours in Liberty !
