When I was thinking about writing this post, I wanted to be careful what I wrote in it, and that's not normally my style.
I have had readers from Egypt read my blog, and you never really know who is doing the reading.
I want the good people of Egypt to know, America is behind you.
Needless to say, our government is walking a tight rope on this situation. It goes without saying that your government is going to have to face a transition at some point.
"When" is the keyword. I have an old saying I live by, "Timing is everything in life." Never could that saying be more true.
The timing by and which your government makes it's transition, will make all the difference as to who rules Egypt.
President Hosni Mubarak is really the one who holds the key to this situation. I commend him for not just taking off and fleeing the country. I honstly feel he doesn't want a bad element stepping in and taking over.
Yet there will come a time, hopefully before September, that he will be able to make a smooth transition from office, with a temporary democratic government in place, until elections can take place.
I hope our government ( U.S. ) can offer some diplomatic solutions to Egypt. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has shown she has what it takes to help out in times like these.
Again, God Bless to all parties involved and hopefully Egypt will come away frome this as a continued ally of the United States of America.
