Unions are not quite as popular as Unions would like you to believe they are. Especially the public service unions.
Seven states, Tennessee, Colorado, New Hampshire, Michigan, Idaho, Ohio and Indiana all could follow Wisconsin in battling Public Service Unions to bring down excess spending in state budgets, trimming out of control benefits packages and bring to an end the collect bargaining powers of the Unions.
HOPEFULLY the protesters won't resort to ANARCHY, the way the protesters did in Wisconsin, that was not very American.
Let's face it, the Unions have become way too powerful over the years. And by having the union workers dues money to play with, the Unions have then means to hire Lobbyists, (ANOTHER SORE SUBJECT) !, to influence the politicians
Unions are nothing more that a corrupt arm of a corrupt political system.
Doe's it benefit you as a parent when a teacher goes on strike for more excessive benefits and you have to find alternative plans to have someone take care of your child ?
And to add to that I think a teachers pay should be based on merit, not on seniority. I know a lot of teachers thatn would recieve automatic pay raises becuase of their Union cards, that would not get certifaction to home school their own children.
It's time for Politicians to tell the Lobbists and Unions to keep their money and put these Socialist clowns in their place.
This is not the 1930's, if you do your job and do it well, and you work for a good company, you don't need a Union ! I did it for 30 years.
Unions are safety nets for people that want job securiety and outragious benifits. Both which are very unrealistic.
