Panel: U.S. Wasted $60B In Iraq, Afghanistan Wars

This is how I get myself in trouble,.............with myself.

I know that sentence didn't make much sense, but let me explain.

When Bush # 43, Pres. George W. Bush sent troops to Iraq, I understood it would be a long war, I supported him all the way. Afghanistan I was a bit lukewarm with that boondoggle.I just felt we were really headed into another Vietnam. No end game.

Now we come to learn that up to $60 BILLION was wasted in fraud and waste !

C'mon D.C., what the hell are you doing to us, the average American citizen. I do my blog from a Public Library now because I'm fighting for my life to get Social Security Disability Insurance. It's been three years now. I lost my home, my car, the apartment I obtained after I lost my house, sold most of my personal belongings and now I'm in a Homeless Shelter.

Am I mad ? I get down now and then. It's when I read articles where the Government is pissing away OUR money, our meaning the taxpayers.

The Government's lame excuse is : due to lax oversight of contractors, poor planning and corruption, according to an independent panel.

BULLSHIT ! ! !

It is high time the Government starts taking responsability for itself. Right here is a perfect example of why we NEED a SMALLER, LEANER Government.

Here's the best part, (actually the worst part,) the $60 B figure will grow to $360 B by the end of 2011 !

Here is a real eye opener : FOX NEWS REPORTED THAT The Afghan insurgency's second largest funding source after the illegal drug trade is the diversion of money from U.S.-backed construction projects and transportation contracts, according to the commission. But the report does not say how much money has been funneled to the insurgency. The money typically is lost when insurgents and warlords threaten Afghan subcontractors with violence unless they pay for protection, according to the report.

Our Government needs to grab the bull by the horns and fix this...... NOW ! ! !

Don't be suprised if you see a homeless guy from Pennsylvania's U.S.19th District. House of Represenitives RUNNING FOR CONGRESS ! ! !

Wisconsin Union Fight Simmers, as Republicans Barred From Labor Day Parade.

Well, it looks like a group of WWisconsin Union Members are giving a whole new meaning to the term "Labor Day."

This not so friendly group of Wisconsin Unions have barred Republicans from attending a local Labor Day Parade, as payback for controversial collective bargaining legislation earlier this year, leading one congressman to call for an end to the "petty" disputes.

Talk about holding a grudge! WOW, I thought I was bad.

This isn't the first time the Socialists Union Protesters have showed their true colors. The Union protesters have even threatened to mount a Recall campaign against Gov.Scott Walker.

The Marathon County Central Labor Council, a coalition of unions which sponsors the parade in Wassau, Wis., reasoned that lawmakers hostile to their cause should not be at the parade

"Asking the demonstrators for a little show of civility is probably a waste of ink," the editorial board wrote. "But we'll still do it.

I think the Union leaders should come together as adults and allow the people who want to be in the parade, allow them in it.

"A TALE OF TWO REAGANS" OR Where Have All the Reagan Republicans Gone?

Up until this point in time, I thought Fmr.Pres. George W. Bush was the bad guy the DEM'S went after. He is for all practical purposes, the DEM'S whipping boy. (And thank God  W. just ignores them.)

Now I have stumbled across an article and I can't for the life of me figure out if it's a pro or anti Reagan article.

The article questions whether today's GOP line up Is trying to mimic Pres. Reagan's politics or his persona.

The article  from 2003 in the "Weekly Standard" referred to" Reagan's Liberal Agenda."

WHAT! ! ! !

Joshua Green wrote in this article that Pres. Reagan did more for the Liberal Agenda than for the Conservative movement.

A seperate article also states that Pres.Reagan raised taxes 11 times !

The article I received my material for this blog, which may have some merit to it, I'm not quite sure, came fresh from a Liberal Think Tank, " MOVEMENT VISION LAB."

I'm covinced of one thing, FOX NEWS is very fair and balanced.

Unions Ramp Up Political Efforts as Labor Issues Take Center Stage

Here we go again, I was waiting form the Big Unions to step into the Political picture. Th right to work issue is the centerpiece of the Unions platform.

"Right to Work " states allow shops to either allow Unions or not allow them. "Forced Union States" don't allow shops the option to allow or not allow Unions.

Forced Union states have lost more jobs as "Right to work states" have had an increase in hiring.

Natureally, The Unions like the Forced Union idea, It makes their job easier for them.

Former Gov. Mitt Romney is giving in to the Right to work crowd. Personally I think any Union is a bad idea. Unions increase the price of goods made here in America.

I think that Unions had there place in history they just don't fit todays business model.

Let's save the Union issue for another day.

Tea Party Mourns Death of Philly Cheesesteak Legend

It has happened to everyone of us, you try to call a business and you get "press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish. I have no problem with the Latino Culture, I dated a Pureto Rican woman when I was divorced.

What has my tizzy in a tizzy is most Latinos don't want to learn English, and the ones that do still use Spanish.

LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN THIS COUNTRY ! ! !

Well back in 2006, a Philadelphila businessman put it all on the line. Joey Vento put a sign in the window "This is America, When Ordering Please Speak English ! "

The sign created a controversy that spread Nationwide.

I am saddened to announce that last Tuesday, Joey Vento passed away at age 71. He was a common man who fought for something alot of us believe in.

The Independence Hall Tea Party Association released a statement describing him as a "great friend of the conservative cause and the Tea Party movement."

The sign prompted a discrimination complaint -- which was later dismissed -- but as Vento fought it he emerged in the media as somewhat of a conservative pundit.

The Independence Hall Tea Party Association had named him their "Patriot of the Year" in 2011.

I had always wanted to go to Geno's Steaks in Philly to meet Joey and shake his hand and buy a cheesesteak.

Day to day life keeps us from stopping and smelling the flowers along the way, or in this case the cheesesteaks. Joey might be gone, although I believe if you walk into Geno's today, you would feel the Liberty that Joey fought so hard for.

Godspeed Joey Vento...................

"ONE CHILD PER FAMILY," V.P. JOE BIDEN UDERSTANDS IT ?

Ya know, V.P. Biden has had a gaff or two along the way. We laugh and then we go on with our daily lives.

Today is different.

By condoneing the policy put in effect  nearly three years ago, Biden is saying yes to the gruesome tatics the communist country has enacted, such as forced sterlizations, stiff fines if you dare ignore the system, the list goes on.

Former Gov.Mitt Romney said in a statement,"Vice President Biden should have condemned it in the strongest possible terms."

."Vice President Biden's acquiescence to such a policy should shock the conscience of every American.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, a leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, called China's policy "gruesome and barbaric" and questioned how Biden could have given it a pass.

It's really hard to say what will come out f the mouth of The V.P.'S mouth, I just wish he would use B.H.O.'S tele-prompter every now and then.

GOV.RICK PERRY SHUFFLES THE DECK, CHANGES OUTLOOK FOR MITT ROMNEY & MICHELLE BACHMANN

You have to admit, we all saw this one coming. As soon as the top guy in Texas threw his hat into the ring, the GOP contenders would have to re-invent their strategies.

I believe the addition of Gov.Rick Perry will give the GOP the much needed boost that everyone was looking for. Unless you are B.H.O.

The GOP needed somebody fresh, someone with an impeccable resume'.Mitt Romney has a lot of baggage. I'd vote for him if he makes it to the end of the primaries. I like his business background.

Rep. Michelle Bachmann is a fresh face everyone should be taking seriously. She has the Tea Party in her back pocket. Question is can she win over the hard core Conservatives. Time will tell.

Their is something about Gov. Rick Perry that says, yea I'd vote for him. I voted for Pres. George W.Bush
twice. He was a good President, although he did spend a lot. of money, too much for my liking.

Now I know Pres.Bush #43 and Gov.Rick Perry are two completely different people with different ideas.
But there are actually people in this country that Gov.Perry and Pres Bush #43 share the same Ideas.

WAKE UP PEOPLE !!!

Gov. Perry is his own man with his own ideas. If nothing else, he should have learned from Pres.Bush's mistakes. And i'm sure he has.

It will be interesting what the next 15 months brings.

Weekly Jobless Claims Climb to 408,000

I really try to be a "glass half full " kind of guy. Even in these tougher than tough times we are living in, I try very hard to find the  good in D.C.

As the number of jobless climbs, I know at least one guy that believes times are getting better.

You guessed it, B.H.O.

It's too bad he doesn't see that consumer confidence has taken a  nose dive, along with how people feel he is handling the economy.

The rise in jobless claims, which took them just above the 400,000 threshold, is unlikely to change perceptions that the economy will dodge another downturn. Claims below the 400,000 mark are usually associated with a stable labor market.

Then there is the Stock Market. This rollercoaster is better than any you have dared to get on at any amusement park.

As I am writing this, the DJIA has fallen another 500 points ! I know it could recover by the end of the day, and I hope it does.

It's the fact that that the distance between the swings that should have everyone a little bit edgy.

There are economist that believe the Dow could fall below 7000. Go I have posted and see what you think.

HE JUST DOESN'T GET IT !, AND HE PROBABLY NEVER WILL...........

At a stop in Minnesota, B.H.O. tried to make light of the term "OBAMACARE", I call it "OBAMA$CARE." What he doesn't realize is, OBAMACARE is sarcasim pointed directed at him !

This dunderhead is taking it as a compliment, or at least I think he is. It was a slang word created soley to attach him to the draconian medcical health plan he sert into motion.

The way it looks, he will be a one term President. If true OBAMACARE will die on the vine. If I'm wrong, look out ! Medical coverage in this country will be changed forever, and not for the better.

I know , because I have experienced first hand what OBAMACARE will be like.

Hopefully B.H.O. is a one term President. Or things might get very ugly.

BY WINNING THE STEAW POLE IN IOWA, REP. BACHMANN EARNS TOP-TIER STATUS

I figured she would do very well, but winning the straw pole in Iowa yesterday, proved she is a force to be reckoned with.

I have been following here in the press for quite some time now. For full disclosure, I was following her on FOX NEWS, which is my choice for the most accurate news reporting.

From the get go I like her political views. She's a Republican with a Tea Party slant to her.I see her as very genuine. And best of all, she is closely aligned with Gov. Rick Perry R-Texas.

FOX NEWS quoted her as saying "We just sent a message that Obama will be a one-term president," Bachmann told her cheering supporters outside of her bus. Bachmann cast her victory as a "down payment on taking our country back."

I like that.

I seriously believe that Rep.Bachmann and Rick Perry are going to give Former Gov. Mitt Romney a huge run for his money.

I predict the closer we get to the end of the primaries Rep. Bachmann and Gov. Perry will have their own little rivalry going on. It will be clean though, because the two have lots of respect for each other.

I said it before and I stand by it, it will be a Perry / Bachmann ticket. A guy can dream, cant he ?

Gov. Rick Perry-(-R-TEX) to Announce His Run for The Presidency Today.

WOW is this going to shake things up !

The worst kept secret in D.C. will come true today, Gov.Rick Perry  will set his sights on the Presidency today at 1pm. EDT.

He will be making his announcement in Charleston, South Carolina before a group of GOP activists.

While a straw poll is taking place in Iowa, Gov.Perry, will be in Charleston,S.C., a strategic move many believe will be in his best interest.

I think Gov.Perry Has the best chance to Take on Mitt Romney in the primaries.

If he would pick Michelle Bachmann as his running mate, Gov. perry would win the 2012 election hands down.
I am well aware that the election is well over a year and a half away, but this Country is looking for some new blood for the Republican ticket.

I believe, short of anything devastating coming out about these two, the Perry / Bachmann ticket would be tough to beat.

G.O.P. RACE CHANGES AS OBAMA BECOMES WEAKER

Elections, especially Presidential ones, are like a chess match. Strategies change as the game progresses.

Take the Republicans for instance. They are less likely to settle for second best at the top of their ticket, now that B.H.O. appears  weakened.

-- Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty had this to say : "Look, you can almost stick a fork in him. I think he's about done politically. His numbers nationally are bad. You look at his numbers in the swing states that are going to really decide the election, like Iowa, and among independents, his numbers are awful."

(-- Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty talking about President Obama in a campaign speech in Humbolt, Iowa. )

That's a strong analogy, and I hope the Former Governor is correct.

A lot of things have changed since the first G.O.P. debate, a few months ago. Now after Credit Downgrade, a loss to House Republicans on a debt-ceiling deal and 30 soldiers killed as their helicopter was attacked, (by the way that was the largest one day total of troops killed in the Afghanistan War,) B.H.O. very well could become a one term President, one can only hope.

The economic outlook is bad until at least 2013, As Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke made clear Tuesday.

The future for B.H.O. looks bleak, but the G.O.P.should not measure the drapes in the White House just yet.

B.H.O. has a sizeable war chest, and he won't be afraid to use it.

I look foward to the upcoming primaries, just to see who has all the right stuff to remove B.H.O. from office.I have my favorites and you know who they are if you read my blog from Monday, 08.08.11.

May the best person win, and defeat B.H.O. in 2012.

Obama Serves Up a Silly Speech, In Debt Downgrade Aftermath.

OK, let me understand this. On Monday, B.H.O. gives a speech on the basic soundness.

WHAT ! ! !

There has to be a secret cave under the white house that B.H.O. lives in. He couldn't be serious. All that speech did was reinforce the concerns that the people in this Country have about B.H.O.'s Stewardship for his Country.

What ever he was selling, the people in the U.S. weren't buying. It was the same old talking points, the need to marshal the “political will” to extend the payroll tax cut and unemployment insurance benefits, or create an infrastructure bank.

The people want to know what he will do to create jobs and stop the economy from entering a double dip recession.

What's really bad is after his speech, the stock market tanked. This guy had a bad week last week. First he turned 50, then he became the first sitting President to have the Countries credit raring downgraded. Then he presided over the deadliest day in the  Afghanistan  War when 30 soldiers perished and then the Stock Market tanked.

Ouch. No wonder Mr. Obama looked so very shaken during a speech that was intended to boost the nation’s confidence.

Gov. Rick Perry for President in 2012 ?

Enough of the DEBT CEILING all ready, let's face it, we can't fix the damage that was done until 2012.

And the best way to fix it is to make sure the GOP wins House, Senate and the Presidency.

And better yet, throw out any Republican the voted for the DEBT CEILING INCREASE. On 08.01.11 and 08.04.11 I posted the names of the people who voted yes to the DEBT CEILING INCREASE.

Boot them out ! I personally would like to challenge Rep. Todd Platts for the 19th district in Pa.

Any Republican who voted for the DEBT CEILING INCREASE should be thrown out of office.

If you want a good solid leader for President, I believe Gov. Rick Perry is your man. Right now he is sticking his toes in the water, just to see what it would be like to campaign for President.

My choice for the GOP ticket is Rick Perry/Miclelle Bachmann.

That would be a solid GOP ticket. we will see what happens.

S&P Chief Looks at Entitlement Reform to Resolve Debt Downgrade

After loosing  it's AAA credit status, the U.S. is not considered the safest financial risks in the world.

That could all change if the U.S. took a serious look at it's entitlement spending, according to David Beers, at Standard and Poors.

He blames Congress for it's constant spending on entitlements for pushing the Country into red ink.

FOX NEWS noted that the S&P lowered the U.S. outlook on Friday evening, saying that political gridlock has prevented the U.S. from reaching a plausible solution to getting its financial house in order. It remarked that the agreement last week to reduce the nation's debt by at least $2.1 trillion over the next 10 years "fell well short" of comprehensive reforms that some had advocated.

It's time the elected officals in Congress and the White House start taking spending seriously. The S&P'S actions on friday indicate the U.S. must change it's spending habits.

Rep.Paul Ryan said he wasn't suprised by the S&P"S decision. He noted,  even with the select committee's recommendations, the debt will continue to climb.

Rep Ryan was quoted as saying "The president just created two brand new health care entitlements, expanded Medicaid, a third, and then put this new rationing board in charge of Medicare," Ryan told "Fox News Sunday." "So they're unwilling to open up and restructure these entitlements, which according to S&P are the primary drivers of this debt."

It seems Congress is the only group that can reverse the downgrade, by reducing entitlement spending.

S & P REMOVES U.S. FROM AAA CREDIT RATING

The United States Sterling Credit Rating has been lost. This is the first time since it's inception in 1917 that the U.S. has not had a AAA credit rating.

As a gridlocked Congress finally promised a 2 Trillion Dollars in spending cuts, that wasn't enough to satisfy Standard & Poors

The credit rating dropped one notch to AA- status, which was indcated as a possibility back in April, happened Friday, less than a week after the Congress approved a 2.4 trillion dollar hike in the Debt Ceiling.

Standard & Poors, Moody's Investor Service & fitch had warnd Congress if the spending cuts were not far enough, there would be a down grade in the credit rating.

Moody's still has not down graded the Nation's credit rating, but if the out of control spending doesn't, they might drop it also.

This Nation needs to get it's Financial  House in order really quick !

Amid Economic Fears and Despite Debt-Crisis Resolution, Wall Street Plummets.

Even with your eyes closed you could see this one coming, and it's not over yet !

Wall Street sent a crystal clear signal Thursday and that message was that all is not well. Just when Washington thought the U.S. economy was back on track.

The Dow Jones industrial average took a very serious nose dive, dropping more than 500 points Thursday, erasing its gains for the year as investors gave President Obama a present on his 50th birthday that he'd rather return.

But the White House, which is cringing for a monthly jobs report Friday that is expected to bring alot  more bad news, showed no signs of panic after the steep dive.

Jobless claims have remained in neutral at that level for 17 weeks, leading economists to fear the strength of the economic recovery. In Europe, investors are worried that Italy and Spain will need a bailout from the European Union.

Stocks plunged over worries over new data showing unstable economic weakness in the U.S. and Europe. Investors were frantic by reports showing the number of Americans applying for first-time jobless benefits fell to 400,000 from a revised 401,000 in the prior week.

Despite the deal that will cut up to $2.4 trillion in federal spending over the next decade, reports show the economy is still hurting struggling to gain its footing after a severe recession ended two years ago.

Consumer spending is flat. Service businesses are struggleing to stay alive.Manufacturing is extremely slow and the economy isn’t growing fast enough to wdelcome a growing labor force. The only thing growing is corporate profits.

Unfortunately, I believe this country is racing towards another recession, I hope not. We cannot afford another one.

U.S. Debt Reaches 100 Percent of Country's GDP ! ! !..........

Doesn't this bother anyone ?

This is just a depression waiting to happen !

According to FOX NEWS, The U.S. debt surpassed 100 percent of gross domestic product after the government's debt ceiling was lifted, Treasury figures showed Wednesday, according to AFP.

They went on to say that The package is designed to carve $2.4 trillion from the deficit over the next decade. But in the near term, it granted Washington an increase in its borrowing authority worth the same amount.

FOX NEWS also wrote that  With that authority, the public debt has climbed to $14.58 trillion, putting it just over the $14.53 trillion size of the country's economy in 2010.

As the country moves into a league with deep-in-the-red nations like Italy and Belgium, fiscal conservatives say the fight to cut spending is far from over.

The last time the debt topped the size of its annual economy was in 1947 during World War II, according to AFP. But the deficit at the time was driven by war spending -- a degree of spending that ebbed once the war ended. The nation's current deficits were exacerbated by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but are also driven in large part by entitlement programs that will not shrink without fundamental changes to their structure -- officials point as well to lost revenue from the recession, tax breaks and increased domestic spending as contributors to the current deficit hole.

I am not an economist and I  do not pretend be one. Unfortunaty it looks like our Country might be headed for some more real hard times, maby worse than 2008 and possibily wors than 1929.

I really hope I'm  wrong on tis one. This countrie's economy can not be equal to it's debt for too long.

America has paid a steep price today as honor was replaced by vain and aspiring men. We also are paying a steep price in wealth as the stock market responded as it should respond to fiscal malfeasance.

Welcome Back Rep. Gabrielle Giffords ! ! !

It was so great to see Rep. Giffords back in the House Chambers. She wanted to come back for the vote on the DEBT CEILING CRISIS.

I might not agree on her position, but to see her among her colleges, it was well worth it.

Many people thought she'd never make it back.

She proved them wrong !

I've heard the she will work a part time schedule for now. Half the Congress is lucky if they work half time.

As reported by FOX NEWS, On Jan. 8, Giffords, an Arizona Democrat, was shot in the head in the parking lot of a Tucson grocery store while meeting with constituents. Six people were killed and 13 others, including Giffords, were wounded. The man charged in the shooting, Jared Lee Loughner, has pleaded not guilty to 49 charges.

FOX NEWS also reported shortly after her appearance, a tweet appeared on Giffords' Twitter account: "The Capitol looks beautiful and I am honored to be at work tonight."

Again Rep. Giffords, It's great to see you back !
