Tea Party Mourns Death of Philly Cheesesteak Legend

It has happened to everyone of us, you try to call a business and you get "press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish. I have no problem with the Latino Culture, I dated a Pureto Rican woman when I was divorced.

What has my tizzy in a tizzy is most Latinos don't want to learn English, and the ones that do still use Spanish.

LEARN TO SPEAK ENGLISH IF YOU WANT TO LIVE IN THIS COUNTRY ! ! !

Well back in 2006, a Philadelphila businessman put it all on the line. Joey Vento put a sign in the window "This is America, When Ordering Please Speak English ! "

The sign created a controversy that spread Nationwide.

I am saddened to announce that last Tuesday, Joey Vento passed away at age 71. He was a common man who fought for something alot of us believe in.

The Independence Hall Tea Party Association released a statement describing him as a "great friend of the conservative cause and the Tea Party movement."

The sign prompted a discrimination complaint -- which was later dismissed -- but as Vento fought it he emerged in the media as somewhat of a conservative pundit.

The Independence Hall Tea Party Association had named him their "Patriot of the Year" in 2011.

I had always wanted to go to Geno's Steaks in Philly to meet Joey and shake his hand and buy a cheesesteak.

Day to day life keeps us from stopping and smelling the flowers along the way, or in this case the cheesesteaks. Joey might be gone, although I believe if you walk into Geno's today, you would feel the Liberty that Joey fought so hard for.

Godspeed Joey Vento...................

YOURS IN LIBERTY ! ! !
