Elections, especially Presidential ones, are like a chess match. Strategies change as the game progresses.
Take the Republicans for instance. They are less likely to settle for second best at the top of their ticket, now that B.H.O. appears weakened.
-- Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty had this to say : "Look, you can almost stick a fork in him. I think he's about done politically. His numbers nationally are bad. You look at his numbers in the swing states that are going to really decide the election, like Iowa, and among independents, his numbers are awful."
(-- Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty talking about President Obama in a campaign speech in Humbolt, Iowa. )
That's a strong analogy, and I hope the Former Governor is correct.
A lot of things have changed since the first G.O.P. debate, a few months ago. Now after Credit Downgrade, a loss to House Republicans on a debt-ceiling deal and 30 soldiers killed as their helicopter was attacked, (by the way that was the largest one day total of troops killed in the Afghanistan War,) B.H.O. very well could become a one term President, one can only hope.
The economic outlook is bad until at least 2013, As Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke made clear Tuesday.
The future for B.H.O. looks bleak, but the G.O.P.should not measure the drapes in the White House just yet.
B.H.O. has a sizeable war chest, and he won't be afraid to use it.
I look foward to the upcoming primaries, just to see who has all the right stuff to remove B.H.O. from office.I have my favorites and you know who they are if you read my blog from Monday, 08.08.11.
May the best person win, and defeat B.H.O. in 2012.
YOURS IN LIBERTY ! ! !
